Hebrew Tutor of Bel-Air by Allan Appel – Dedication

In Books, Novels, Romance, Teen on February 8, 2011 at 3:28 pm

Today we’re visiting Will Smith’s old stomping ground. A 17-year-old compulsive gambler in 1963 Los Angeles travels to Will Smith’s hood to tutor 16-year-old Bat Mizvah trainee Bayla Adler. Chaos ensues –  it’s a matter of life and $20,000. Allan Apel dedicated The Hebrew Tutor of Bel-Air:

To the memory of my parents, Morris and Pearl Appel,

and my teacher Dr. David Lieber

Dr. David Leo Lieber, a rabbi, often advised his fellow scholars: “You can always tell someone to go to hell later.” He graduated from the College of the City of New York (magna cum laude) and served as President of the American Jewish University.
